[IA] Have 50Mbps, want 105Mbps...

Like the title says, I already have the 50Mbps speed and want to upgrade to the 105Mbps. Unfortunately, when I called to upgrade, they said it would be $40 MORE per month.

I think I may have gotten a deal on the 50Mbps when I signed my two year contract. The regular price difference on the 50 and 105 is only $20.

Anyone know if there is any way to get upgraded from 50 to 105 for the regular difference between the two services in this situation?

Also, is MediacomChad still around these forums? That guy is the bomb.

50 Mbit service is $99 and 105 Mbit is $149 without any discounts AFAIK.

On my latest bill, it shows:

50Mbps for $79.99

and

105Mbps for $99.99.

I think I get a deal on my 50Mbps for $59.99 and Ch 2-72 or whatever the basic cable package is without a cable box for like $39.99.

I'd be more than willing to upgrade to 105Mbps for $20 more as it is offered regularly.

Got a call from a rep, who talked about getting me hooked up with it even though I was on a discounted contract. After pretty much setting me up the whole way I had to ask about the pricing. 15 minutes later I ended up being offered the same thing I was already offered when I called on earlier. Disappointed.

$59.99 for 50Mbps.... I'd be ecstatic!

I am happy to have what I've got, just disappointed that I am willing to upgrade and pay more, if I were to get the same discount I am getting now, but they won't do it. I mean, I would be saving even less per dollar spent if I could get the $99.99-$20 for 105Mbps, rather than paying $79.99-20 for 50Mbps.

I'm saving 25% now, whereas I would only be saving 20% by moving to 105Mbps as quoted above, and they'd be making more per month. The data cap is the same, so the total usage wouldn't even make a difference. I just don't understand why they wouldn't take it when I am willing to pay it. Maybe there's something I am missing I guess.

I understand your frustration, but unfortunately if you upgrade your speeds, you do not keep the same promotional rate that you had for another tier, as there are usually different promotional rates for each tier that we provide.
