DPC30088 New Dec 12 firmware?

Firmware Name: d3000-v302r125532-121212a-L2VPN-CMCST
Firmware Build Time: Dec 12 19:27:51 2012

Anyone know what this update actually did? My modem was always stable and fine before. Generally you don't upgrade something if it's not broke so just wondering what they fixed that made CC want to upgrade :P

Just because you never noticed any issues doesn't mean there were no bugs. It may also contain updates to work better with future service changes, different equipment, etc...

Nope, I have had IPv6 from day one on this modem.

Also I know the local maint techs and area sup and they stated no changes are planed for this CMTS for the next year or 2 so it wont have anything to do with equipment neither.

Ha! Same here. I rebooted and got the Dec. 2012 file. Nice! Thanks for the heads up.

Just a quick question. Does anyone know what the new firmware contained? Fixes or a prelude for native IPv6? Thanks.

I have used native IPv6 on this modem for over 2 years np so doubt it's in regards to that.

Guess we will never know what it does, for all we know it fixes some stupid logging issue. We will never know as no access to anything on the modem anyway. Thanks CC!

d3000-v302r125532-121212a-L2VPN-CMCST has some fixes that we requested for IPv6, not on the CPE side but the DOCSIS side.
