I think back during Super Storm Sandy when many lost FIOS for 7 days or more and we had that many replies.... |

I think back during Super Storm Sandy when many lost FIOS for 7 days or more and we had that many replies.... That's exactly why I come here the minute something happens - I know I'm going to find out if it's just me or how widespread. Better than even Verizon's own "forums." |

I think back during Super Storm Sandy when many lost FIOS for 7 days or more and we had that many replies.... It goes to show how massive VHO8 is and how much of a disruption is caused when an entire VHO loses service all at the same time and during a peak time of the day.
I noticed TV was out about 15 minutes into the 40 minute outage and checked here which confirmed that it wasn't something gone bad on my end. |

Sure, how much credit do you think you deserve for 30 minutes of down time? Let's see, on average 30 days of a month, perhaps you're on a high end plan for $100 for TV stand alone, so about $3.33 a day. 24 hours in a day, 60 minutes in an hour. So for a 30 minute outage, you lost about 6 cents worth of TV. I'm sure if you call billing and spend an hour on the phone, they'd be willing to give you a nickel if you want it. My math probably isn't correct, but you get the point, I hope. |
