1) GV will only port IN a number if it is already a cell number.

2) You could port to lots of other SIP providers, such as CallCentric, Anveo, etc.

3) But WHY?

4) If your only purpose is to forward it to cell, why not ask your cell company if it is possible to add it as a 2nsd number on your cellphone account.

5) If your cell company can't do that, then you could try to port the number to a prepaid cell provider like T-Mobile, and from THERE try to port it to GoogleVoice.
