2008 wins server

I have a 2008 server with 2 nics in it. One of the Nics is connected to lets say 192.168.10.0/24 and the other is connected to 192.168.100.0/24. The 192.168.10.1 needs the win server, but it keeps binding to the 192.168.100.1. There really isn't any setting for wins. I tried deleting it and adding it back to the 192.168.10.1, but it will change it back to the 192.168.100.1. I have googled some, but I am not having any luck finding an answer so far.

Looks like you may need to change the adapter order as WINS binds to the first adapter. This is an old post dealing with Windows 2000 so I'm not sure it still applies to 2008.

I read that yesterday. I looked for a bit and couldn't find what they were talking about on 2008. I wasn't sure if that option is removed or moved someplace else.

I take that back. I just found where to change them. Hopefully this works.

Changing the order did work. I spent way to much time on that.

Glad it's working and it could have always been worse.

Curious. What do you need wins for? I haven't used it since we got rid of our last 98 computer years ago...
