Speed question

Recently upgraded my FIOS speed from 25/25 to 50/25. Wireless speed before the upgrade was consistently around 20/20. Now I get wired speed of slightly higher then 50/25 but wireless speed of only around 21/21. Is this normal? Anything I can do to improve my wireless download speed? The upgrade doesn’t seem to help much since I only use wireless connections. Any thoughts?

You will need a new router. The one you have now supports only G Wireless. Contact VZ and let them know and they will send you a new one.

This is with the understanding that you have equipment that is N capable or that you did not change your router to only support G.

Edit:
This link shows the different wireless speeds by router version:

Thanks. I was told that I won't need a new router ... I will ask and see what happens.

Which revision (A-I) of the router do you have?

As Mahalo See Profile pointed out, if you have an 802.11g router, you won't get better than 20/20 wireless.
As per the following table only the rev. G and I support 130Mbps 802.11n.
