I was reading the paper and out of the blue the TiVo hard drive started making a loud racket for several minutes. I flipped the TV on, and the TiVo was in a reboot cycle. This was maybe 5 days ago. I will PM the TiVo number. |

yes, once on the q and once on a premiere; but it was a few days ago and does not seem to be a continuing problem, at least not yet. |

I believe we have identified the root cause for a random reboot case.
If one or both of you are willing to work with me on some background/discovery information for our ticket to TiVo let me know. I just need network info/setup on how your home is wired and what types of devices are on the network.
should be a 3 minute phone call - warning!! I probably won't reveal the bug =)

Hmm, TiVo just locked up with a frozen picture, and no response to the remote. It rebooted itself after about 5 minutes in the locked up state. Time was approximately 7:30 PM
This was the TiVo with TSN ending in FFEB, which is not the one I passed information on to you on Feb. 28 |
