Stats look good, do you have any active connections right after booting the laptop? Open a command prompt and issue the netstat -an command to check for any open connections. There should not be any open connections right after booting the laptop given that you have not run any Internet dependent applications. If you don't have any established connections open up your browser and head over to speakeasy.net/speedtest and run a series of test to various sites and average the results.

It's important not to use the same server over and over again to determine your average throughput as the server may be under more load at varied times. It's best to use several different servers that are in close proximity to each other geographically and average the results.
