 | Need to install additional router that will use dhcp I have a Cisco router that has much better access controls than the actiontech.
I have successfully hooked up the cisco router to be used for wireless connections.
Fios router is primary with wireless turned off. fios router is set up as dhcp server, addresses 192.168.1.11 +
Cisco (secondary) router has dhcp turned off and ip is set to 192.168.1.2,
Problem is that I can't use the access restrictions by MAC address on the cisco router because I don't see the mac addresses on it. I see them on the fios router, assuming because that's where the IP address is assigned.
I'm assuming I need the cisco router to also be a dhcp server but doesn't that interfere with the tv guide and On demand for the tvs? |

You will however lose on-screen caller ID and remote DVR access with the Cisco as primary. -- There are 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't.
