 | skype massive upload? I had posted this a long time ago.
I see a sub with high upload for the last hour: turn upload to max and its uploading at 2 meg.
Call him up and turns out skype is on but not being used. Shut it off and it disappears.
What is being uploaded from his computer that can go on for hours? |

In the past, a well (long) connected client would become a supernode. I forget what metrics were used but think it was similar to how a POS computer could become a MS Master Browser.
Does the traffic resume when the client resumes? -- Strange as it seems, no amount of learning can cure stupidity, and formal education positively fortifies it. -- Stephen Vizinczey |

I had it burn through a bunch of my quota back in Australia one time, that was not fun or welcome! :-/ |
