the new x1 box supposedly has 6 tuners. Unfortunately so far only 3 tuners are available thus only record 2 programs same as now. Another thing is it is only available in certain areas like new england, the philly region, atlanta, some areas of colorado, and san francisco.
When will Comcast HD boxes (I have the DCX3400) record more than 2 programs at the same time and allow me to record 2 and watch a 3rd program?
They need to get with the competition which allow recording of 4-5 programs at the same time.
Technically you can record two and watch a third, as long as it's a DVR recording. I agree though as Comcast is the largest cable company in the world and they are so far behind even regional cable providers in new technology.
