Rogers DEMARC box

I have a rogers DEMARC box (if thats what it's called...) in my backyard. In my bedroom I have a cable modem (with a cable coming from outside into the house from that box.) I would like to transfer my modem into my sisters bedroom instead of my bedroom. My sisters bedroom has a cable coming from the box but it isn't live. Can I just disconnect the internet cable going to my room and connect the one going to my sisters without getting in trouble?

Is this legal? Will they ever know? Am I allowed to do this? Im not adding or getting rid of anything, just transferring cables...

You're not supposed to do it and you'll need a special tool to get the demarc box open, but the chances of any negative consequences from changing the connections are slim. If you get a quality splitter, you can probably hook up both cables at once.
