I remember a thread not very long ago that the person was asking why their dishes weren't getting clean. They had the same problem. The best part was, they continued washing dishes using dirtier and dirtier water ! You think the standing water, that had to start smelling, in the bottom of the dishwasher would have gotten noticed. |

However as the knockout was intact and the drain hose was properly installed there was no place for the water to go. As a result, while a little may leak if the hose wasn't on tight, for the most part all of the water remains in the bottom of the dishwasher. There is no "3-4 gallons leaked all over". It doesn't work that way. |
