| Considering the switch over I currently have VZW with 5 lines and I'm paying upwards of $300. Some family members want to use their upgrades, but by doing that the unlimited data goes away and we don't want to pay $500 for a phone to keep the data.
I had Nextel for the longest time then went to Sprint when the conversion happend.
So, with sprint quietly building up a 4G network with clearwire, i'm thinking I could save some money, get unlimited data with some 4G WiMax around my area, and everyone gets a new smartphone they want.
Wold this be worth it.
I've looked at the coverage maps and they look pretty good for my area. Then again, no carrier is perfect.

kudos:2 | Grab a cheap virgin mobile or boost(cdma) phone and carry it around with you for a few weeks... make sure the coverage is up to snuff for you. It is a cheap and easy way to make sure it will work where you need it.
I do see pockets of WIMAX-4G in the city you have listed as your location... but be aware that sprint is now also working on rolling out a 4G-LTE network. |

i dont think there is any new WiMax phones that have come out in quite a few months. Sprints new LTE network build is all the rage.

we just switched our 5 lines from verizon to sprint and are happy. coverage is good and wifi at home takes care of internet on phone. my daughter home has zero coverage and with sprints free home tower via cable internet they now have cell phone coverage at house so dropped home phone. |

I went out and got a Sprint iPhone 5. I have 14 days to return it if the service isnt good.

Remember to not wait until the 14th day... in fact I would recommend starting the return process on the 7th day if you find service is no good.
