navyson join:2011-07-15 Upper Marlboro, MD 2 edits | How many internet connected devices do you have at home? My count is 10 so far.
FIOS STB box(VOD uses IP) Roku box 1 Rolu box 2 Laptop 1 Laptop 2 VOIP line 1(majicjack VOIP line 2(another brand) Smartphone(use wifi at home) Tablet Desktop computer
It could have been 11(GF's smartphone). However, for some reason, her smartphone does not seem to like my home wifi connection.
Never had all 10 working at the same time before. However, I am sure my new 50/25 connection could easily handle it all simultaneously.

| Don't have FiOS, but off of a 5Mbps/768kbps connection I currently have:
1x Nintendo Wii (Wireless) 1x PlayStation 3 (Wired) 1x HDTV (Wired) 8x Desktops (Wired) 6x Laptops (Half Wired, half Wireless) 1x Smartphone (Wireless) 1x Picture Frame (Wireless) 3x DirecTV Receivers (Wired)
That's according to my router. I have more devices than that but they're currently not powered on. |

| reply to navyson I have 60+ which is fewer than I used to have. I used to be over seventy. The biggest percentage of devices I have are my IP cameras. I have ten of those. Then I have eight Squeezeboxes and eight PCs and then the numbers go down from there. But there are too many different devices to list them all between the game systems, BD players, media players, NAS devices, etc. |

Only the last two out of this list are wireless.
My network also includes four switches, one of which is PoE (and powers the other 3, so they don't need wall warts). |

Fios STB's - 2 HD, 1 SD & 1 MDVR - total of 4 MOCA wireless (secondary) MI424 router - 1 via coaxial Wireless networked printer - 1 Blue Ray - 1 via Ethernet Desktop PC - 4 (w. 2 additional in workshop mode) include 2 via Ethernet, dual-boot XP/Win7 and 1 server Laptop & Netbook PC's - 5 (w. 1 add'l for workshop use) iPhones - 2 (to as many as 8) iPads - 3 (to as many as 8) Android tablets - 3 (include 1 Kindle e-reader) Android smartphones - 4 (to as many as 8 to 10)
Approx. - 28 devices to over 40 devices connected at given time, typically 8 to 15 devices active at any given time (higher #'s when there's extended family gatherings on weekends) Yulp - humming along & resisting the tempting offers to bump up to 50/25 for an extra $10/mo since bandwidth control measures are in place, along with using static IP and DHCP to set priorities ... |
