REV I - Slow Wireless

I got my new REV.I last week when I upgraded to 75/35 service. It gives me over 80 through the Ethernet wired connection, but only around 20 wireless, even when my wireless n laptop is only 5 feet away. The download and upload speeds are about the same, with the upload consistently better. I tried new TP-Link 8 db antennas, but they added nothing. Did all the basic stuff (different channels, etc.) but still no change. Added a ZyXEL access point connected to the LAN, and it too only gives out around 20 wireless (but 80 wired).

Any ideas?

If you haven't already done so, change the wireless settings to AES-only encryption and N Performance Mode. I found that those changes improved performance considerably, but keep in mind the Actiontec Rev. I is not a dual-band router.
