D-link router doesn't recognize HT1000 modem

I just had a HT1000 modem installed (replacing a blue dish modem) and my D-link DWA-140 is not recognizing the modem. I have changed the IP address on the router to no avail. I have noticed that I have both IPv6 and IPv4 protocols - can I disable my 6 protocol and rely on the 4 since that is the IP address I am changing?

HN1000 uses IPv6...it also uses 192.168.0.1, so you need to change the default IP address on the DLink to something like 192.168.1.1, and if the router needs you to do it you set the addresses handed out to 192.168.1.100-192.168.1.200
