[iPhone] Iphone 4 (Cricket Wireless) planning on getting.

I have a Samsung Transfix with Cricket Wireless, and I'm planning on buying an iPhone 4 for $249.99 (which is good price) now my question is, will I still be able to use apps for Facebook, 4sq, and YouTube? Will Firefox work too, and will 8GB be enough for all that? I'm paying $50 for my current plan do I have to switch to the $55 iPhone plan?

Apps will work, but only if an equivalent is available for iPhone. Facebook, 4sq and YouTube are definitely available for download. Firefox is not, but iPhones have Safari built in, which is very similar. 8GB of space is more than enough for those apps.

You may have to switch plans, but that question is best asked of a Cricket agent.

8GB should be fine. I highly suggest switching to AT&T, Verizon, or even Sprint for better service on the iPhone. I have heard horror stories about Cricket and their coverage and speeds. Its kind of a case of "you get what you pay for."

I get good coverage here, almost everywhere I go, I get good speed.

Is the iPhone 4 you're buying locked and if so to what carrier?

If its locked to a network that won't function with Cricket Wireless then your options are to unlock / jailbreak the iPhone, use a device like the R-sim or switch carriers.

BTW, my Wife just bought her friends old iPhone 4 16GB for $170. It's in perfect condition. I believe it's locked to AT&T and we will go with an AT&T MVNO like H2O Wireless, Airvoice, Redpocket and so on,.....

How do I get my iphone 4 to remember my password so I don't to type it in all the time. I got it all set up today but it won't remember my password when I want to install new apps.

Cricket sells iPhones. The phone being locked is not a consideration.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here.

Cricket may very well sell iPhones but that doesn't mean any iPhone such as an older iPhone 4 (possibly locked to a competing carrier which was never specified by the OP) will work unless it supports the same network and or is a supported MVNO.

Apparently the OP has it working though so no worries,...

I would not say '8 gigs would be fine'. It depends on your apps, music, movies, and how you store them.

I have all 14,000 songs of mine stored at home and Amazon cloud. I can use any type of phone or os to access my music, anywhere. I also have a grandfathered 20 gb verizon lte plan for $120. So it makes sense for me to have lower gigs and use my lte whenever I want to play something.

However, I also have alot of apps, so my ipad mini for example, is 16 gb and is almost always full.

The iPhone 4 sells for $249.99 from Cricket, as stated by the OP, so a locked phone is not a consideration.

It’s a belabored point,….

Also take note that the OP did not specify where the iPhone 4 was purchased from. I'm not saying the assumption would be wrong given the circumstances just that the OP lacked specificity.

Someone is not in error if they do "not" make an assumption but rather they may be if they do.

It was all too apparent to me what the OP said and meant.
