 | [MB] Never have I been more dissapointed in shaw This is attrocious speeds 1.68 megs on the Broadband 50 business plan? What the r h double e hockey sticks do these guys do all day.
Its 11:30pm at night you would figure everyone would be sleeping connections all relaxed on a sunday and everything would be capable of max capacity. But My 8 channel double bonding 4 upstream cisco 8527X is maxed out. I am sick of this its been dam near 5 months now and every flipping day after 6pm this network goes to the dogs.
Its like a wrestler 900 pounds and once he falls down he can't get back up. At least hogan back in the day would wrestle get beat up outside the ring and make it back in to finish up the match at least but shaw seems out for the count once the rubber hits the road and this bad boy is in the business customers hands.
No tech support to speak of I call in and they just tell me the F*IN modem is busted and they will send me out another one. Its all of about 1 ounze I feel like looking at it will hurt its feelings and it will break. I dont know. Time to start doing something with my life productive not staring at this narrow @ss pipe all day. Sheeet I give up 5 months man! Unacceptable. Unacceptable its just not good enough I want what I am paying for. What a pile of crap this cisco is. I need a real modem one with hair on it a good 2 pounds at least one that is 4 times as big as a brick phone . I dont know what to say I am just disgusted with this. |

 | reply to soslow Welcome to cable, where the 'you share bandwidth with your neighbours' problem is going to be amplified as more and more people jump on netflix, youtube, and other video streaming during the peak hours of the evening.
Wasn't that bad a few years ago, where major bandwidth consumers were basically p2pers who could let their downloads run during the middle of the night or during the day. Peak hours slowed downed a bit, but not so drastically as now.
For me, I don't mind as I don't watch too much streaming/youtube, but instead download my content so the slow speeds are only a mere annoyance. However, once it starts to affect latency in my online gaming, well then I'll probably be forced to jump ship. |

 | Telus Optik 50 looks interesting, if one qualifies.
50 down and 10 UP for same cost as Shaws bb50/3? |

 | reply to ShawVan Well you know I think I am getting ripped off and the neighbours are soring sky high laughing at me running so slow. I dont know but it just sucks it seems like every time I get somethign the goal is to make me run as low as possible while all these other guys get amp'd and I keep getting de-amped
Tonight I am running so slow I feel like dsl (heaven forbid) might be a option but I know it isn't cuz TELUS says they wont provide any business packages at my location Here is a real time look at how slow I really am running.
