Re: [WIN7] W7 No internet connection said by dave:I doubt it has much to do with Internet Explorer in particular. So I would have thought, which is why I tried with Firefox--and Opera, too, as I recall--first a few times, with considerably less success--so I stopped trying them. IE might as well be good for something, and this is as good as anything. It's been awhile since I last had to do this though--maybe now any browser is as good as any other. -- "Face piles of trials with smiles; it riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave." |

jl747 join:2005-03-24 Mount Prospect, IL | reply to jl747 Well after testing this possible solution further with the firewall blocking the internet and then turning it on (No Connection showing) I opened IE and it would not connect.
Time it was blocked was approx 6 hours.
Oh well.
Again thanks for your suggestions. |

 | Have you tried disabling the connection as suggested at the hardware level rather than the winsock/firewall level?

I'll will just put the system to sleep.
It's easy and painless. |

 | That still gives the no connection error. Wow. You can always look at cleaning or resetting the connection/dns cache etc to see if it helps, but if you are happy as you are I'll move on.
