| Need help understanding Camera Roll, etc. Daughter's iPhone has 1300 photos in Camera Roll (CR). Since these have not been optomized for iPhone, they take up a ton of space and are pushing the limit of her iCloud backup storage.
She rarely, if ever, syncs with iTunes.
Her iPhoto has 7000 photos.
If she syncs, the 1300 from CR will get off loaded to iPhoto (with an option to delete). Will they automatically be put back (optomized/shruken for iPhone)? If so, will the 7000 photos from iPhoto come onto her iPhone? (she doesn't want them to). If she leaves "sync with iPhoto" unchecked, will the 1300 come back...or does she need to tell iTunes to put them back on the iPhone (yes, I'm confused).
Simply put, she wants only the 1300 on her phone, hopefully optomized.

kudos:1 | First thing I would suggest is that she just backup the photos to a computer. Then she will have a full resolution copy. Don't need to use iTunes to do that -- at least not with a windows machine. |
