New marketing guy wanted to setup a wordpress website for our org. We have our own edu/domain from the campus, where our current site is dept.campus.edu. I read some of their docs, we don't need the email, nor registering a domain, just the hosting server. Does anyone use WP for their organization's site? What's the best way to set this up?
reply to gudel Agreed all depends on what you have available to you. I recently switched to self hosted wordpress.org install.
Here's even a post I did about it in regards to what I'm running it on. If you're comfortable with Linux I can give you a package list to meet it's dependencies.
