| AT&T Needs to get some facts checked... I have T-Mobile and my calls don't "drop." My friends on AT&T (who are now on Verizon) complained about dropped calls. Infact when I did have AT&T, my calls dropped irrespective of having great reception.
Talk about being ridiculous. -- "Look at me, I'm Dr. Zoidberg, homeowner." |

Talk about being ridiculous. Here in Texas I rarely have dropped calls or any other problems on At&t, and I use it in Houston, Dallas and Austin a lot. Verizon is the same for the most part except At&t tends to work better in most buildings in Dallas and Austin since they have both 850 licenses. At&t LTE also tends to work deeper inside buildings, which is kind of odd since they both use 700. In Houston they are about equal. T-Mobile and Sprint both suck around the state, except for in major metro areas, but even then they are usually overloaded and tend to have more trouble indoors. I currently use AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE and have had T-Mobile and Sprint in the past, and still know many people that have them. --

You provide a very practical point of view about the coverage as you see and I respect that. However, given that T-Mobile caters mainly to metros, its understandable to see the coverage "fall off" in certain outskirts. With respect to LTE, since 700Mhz penetrates buildings better than 1700Mhz, its likely AT&T LTE and 3G is far superior than T-Mo's FauxG (which runs on combination of 1900 & 1700/2100 AWS). I will give you that.
With respect to dropped calls, maybe its a congestion thing in NYC, but the way I see it, if a cell-tower can't hold a call with excellent reception, I have to take my business elsewhere.
