[2K3] Server 2003 SB Anti-Virus

I'm looking for a simple inexpensive anti-virus to run on a Win 2003 server. I'm not looking for managed service, or something that manages clients. Just something that works automatically, and send out an email if it finds infected files.

This server is a DC, SQL, and a file server now, but may have other functions in the future. I tried MBAM, because it was cheap, and I read in the MBAM forums that it works fine, but it caused all sorts of issues. I found a list of exceptions that were supposed to make it work, but it didn't, and really wasn't worth the time.

I'm also interested in opinions as to how relevant, or needed anti-virus is in this situation. MS Security essentials is running on all 5 clients.
