Nice!
If I read well, the dry-loop fee is not to be paid by the customer ONLY if a customer takes the Unlimited TekTalk, right?
Also, the activation fee is $50 for ALL DSL speeds, right? |

Ouch 69.95 for 25/10 is too high IMO, I was expecting 54.95. It sounds like TSI was too optimistic in pricing their interim plans. It was way more than 5-10% under.

Why are we paying $6 per month more than Ontario for unlimited 25 meg, the tariffs are the same If we extrapolate, 50 meg unlimited in Quebec will be $12 more than Ontario |

I guess, but it doesn't seem fair that people in Quebec have to subsidize people in Ontario when the costs are the same... or is the average usage higher in Quebec? |

Why were you expecting such low price ? Just what was said on the forums by Marc, that does not match the 5-10% hit TSI was taking with interim rates. The UBB rate was cut by almost 50%. |

Need clarification.
Have DSL16/300 @45.99
- Is my service FTTN? - Is it going to be automatically dropped to 15?
Nice promo. But why the $3 hike for regular rates? Is that because in spite of the drop for capacity (more than half if I'm not mistaken), access rates are ridiculously higher? Somebody explain it to me, please. |
|

bbwarrior: Yes, but you could not expect the 50% rate decrease . Plus they were hit negatively on the cable ... I would say the rates are quite right My 2c |

and the big question... can I upgrade from 15/1 to VDSL for cheap? |

I dont agree with it but I dont have any other choice. The cost hike on Rogers and lowering the legacy 6 meg prices are a huge $$ hit. |

Irrelevant. We expected a price hike for cable rates, and we got it. But we expected a drop for Bell/QC, and we didn't get it, except as a promo. Either cable rates are so high now that all services get hiked to compensate, or Bell/QC rates for access are ridiculously higher, or both. |

Re: [DSL] NEW RATES - Bell Québec & PromoDo grandfathered 16/1 customers get the same price decrease as 15/1 customers? |

Re: [DSL] NEW RATES - Bell Québec & PromoThey did go down a bit, at least 25 meg did. The non-promo rate is $1 less for 300GB ($52.99 -> $51.99) and $8 less for unlimited ($77.99 -> $69.99). The promo rates take it lower ($52.99 -> $47.99, $77.99 -> $65.99).
Of course, in Ontario they went down even more ($52.99 -> $42.99, $77.99 -> $59.99)...
I shouldn't complain too much, it's still a bunch cheaper than it was before, and it will enable our office to get a better speed for less money (we're paying $51/mth for 15 meg, I believe). |

Also, I note the 50 meg pricing was omitted, that was what I was most curious about :P |

I would say the rates are quite right
My 2c Was expecting more than 17%, I don't think that was unreasonable. |

said by TSI Marc:1. - The promotion is likely to be available for the rest of the year. 2. - Promo rates are for the duration of your service or until you change your service. Marc, just to be sure I get this right: 1 = The promo may be available until the end of the year so all customers subscribing until year end will be able to get the promo rates 2 = Once you get into the promo rates, you'll pay these rates for the next years as well or until you change your service, not only until the year end |
|
|
Ah, didn't catch that. So, the promo is for new and existing customers who sign up or change to those services now and until the end of this year, and continues until the service is changed or cancelled after the end of this year. Hm, that's a different story then. I'll take the $3 drop but then I'll have to take the 1Mbps drop too I guess, right? |

Why are price more expensive in Quebec? I didn't notice any differences in the new CRTC pricing. |

to TSI Marc
How about business rates? Any changes and promos there? I wouldn't mind a few upgrades. |

Can you get 15 Mb/s FTTN with VDSL2, so with 10 Mbps up? |

It's available in the tariff but no IISP is offering it. |
