Re: [CallCentric] Touch tone delays or multiple tones on VoIP

Ok well I tested it out and still no luck. Originally in the Obi100 under Service Providers, Profile, General, the DTMFMethod is just set to the default value of Auto.

I tried setting it to both RFC2833 and InBand. The only thing that accomplished was taking the tones down from 3 each time I pushed a button to 2. The voice prompts still don't recognize my entry correctly since every time I push a button now it thinks I'm pushing it twice.

CallCentric says they don't support SIPInfo, and G.711u is the only codec I have enabled.

Is there anything else I can try?

Enable detailed logging in OBi and make sure the correct number is put on wire.
You should see something like this:

Mar 5 19:11:00 192.168.1.55 [SLIC]:Slic#0 OFF HOOK
Mar 5 19:11:00 192.168.1.55 [CPT] --- FXS h/w tone generator (dial)---

Do as lacibaci suggested.

After that, though, consider that this could also be the telephone itself. Have you tried a different phone?

I've used some older phones that were not good at making DTMF signals.

I looked all through the configuration on the device and can't even locate where you are enabling the level of logging. I've never come across it before.

There are two pages:

System Management->Device Admin
Voice Services->SP1 Service

This assumes that you have syslog running somewhere.

Ok I don't have a syslog server but I have enabled the debug option you showed. Where then are the logs stored so that I can view them?

You have to have a syslog server for OBi to log debug messages.

Ok so I managed to get a syslog server running and I captured the output from the device.

I still had InBand selected on the DTMF stuff, and my phone call, along with the keys I pressed during the phone menu, were logged only once just like your entries above.

So should I log a ticket with CallCentric to look into this further?
