Snow Blower broke today

I've plowed the driver 2x already (actually never stopped)
Did it once and once again.

My two stage ariens stopped working.
The handle that I press to drive forward or reverse is all loose.
Right before that it would engage the wheels as soon as I touched it, now it's loose, has no resistance at all.

Not good.

Could be the belts. Did you look at those. That's the only thing that ever broke on mine.

Got it fixed up.
After that I finish my neighbors driveway (that's when it broke) and did a final pass on mine.

There was a metal pin like bolt that held together this arm and a spring that would move with the hand lever, through a big rod, into this thing with a spring.

Not sure what it's called (cotter pin?) same thing as on spindles on cars got somewhow lost and the bolt / pin holding the assembly came loose.
Took me a bit to figure out the right angle etc.

So glad I got it to work!!

So... it really didn't "break" then, did it? It just lost a cotter pin and disassembled a bit.
