Because it's a trivial change in the bill and is the right thing to do, first and foremost. I thought they were both 20% but realized hers was 22%. Not that 2% of my bill is anything to Verizon but it's the moral of it.
I've heard Verizon will be requesting people to re-authenticate their business discounts in the coming months anyway so I figured I would go ahead and do it now. That was when I saw the 2% difference.
