I can't get much over 20 on the Ultra50 plan where I'm at. I haven't been home enough to do any troubleshooting yet. I just got hooked up last week.

GLIMMER,

As for the channel bonding, you should be able to get 50Mbps down with 2 channels bonded.

I have the 12/1mbps service and always bond 4 channels. If I was paying for 50mbps and only getting 30mbps I would certainly be finding out why?

3 services in IL. all with different bonding. Why? I was told "We only use what we need. Translation "We could fix it, but won't."

For the record mine is working again. Not sure what the problem was, but it might be my router slowing it down.

What would be interesting is to see if you were bonding the same amount of downstream channels then as you are now. What router are you using?

It's definitely possible to hit 50 Mbps on two downstream channels, but they have to be fairly lightly loaded to do that (~38 Mbps max per downstream channel with no other traffic). If you were indeed running at 50 Mbps, you would be using 65% of the available bandwidth of those two channels. I wouldn't be surprised if there was local congestion that was causing the issue, based on the time of your post. IMO, at least 4 channels are needed for consistent 50 Mbps service.

How it is late at night (past midnight) or late morning/early afternoon?

Which is exactly the problem in my area. We once had 4 channel bonding, but I was told it was shut down because of a problem with one channel. So why not fix the problem? it absolutely baffles me as to why this can't get done.

Seems to me it would alleviate many of the issues in our area.

Edit: About 2am here and I get this on a 50/5 service.

They did get upload working properly again. Chad, if you helped with getting this done, thank you very much.
