But it is the legitimate paying customer that they are focused on screwing. And it looks like in this job they have succeeded. Too bad. Because I was thinking of getting the new sim city. And now I certainly won't. | |

If what EA has said about part of the simulation being server-side (rumoured to be the regional level interaction), it won't be that easy. And if it does happen, there might be missing functionality. | |

True - look at "Hellgate: London" as a prime example.
As stated before, phoning home is (somewhat) acceptable, but unless it's someting in the MMORPG vein, "always online" is a deal breaker. | |
