Russellville, AR | Bizarre upload speed issue 50/3mbps Arris Router So I have now had technicians at my house for the last two days and seem no closer to a resolution on this issue. I recently upgraded to the top tier internet available from Suddenlink in my area 50mbps down and 3mbps up. As soon as I upgraded I happily went to speed test my connection just because...well I was excited to be on what is by far the fastest connection in my life.
My download speed pegged at 50mbps but my upload wouldn't go above 1.9mbps...the same as I was getting on the 30/2 previously. I spent days testing at peak and off-peak hours but my upload was pegged to the 1.9 mark with little variation. The technicians seem stumped(the best they can come up with is my tivo's must be eating up my upload but even that explanation they won't bank on, especially since removing the tivo's doesn't seem to change anything) so now I'm turning to you guys in the hopes someone might have an answer.
The really bizarre part is that on my phone, connected to the wireless(desktop is hard wired) I see upload speeds in the range of 2.4-2.9mbps but using the same server on my desktop it still pegs at 1.9mpbs.
Ideas?
My most recent speedtest using the same server as my phone. I am located in Arkansas and live not far from the drop.
