Timmn join:2000-04-23 Tinley Park, IL | U-Verse Phone question I just got U-Verse phone and internet service, now, with my old POTS line, I had a 3rd party long distance carrier. My question now is who is handling my long distance calls presently, AT&T or the 3rd party carrier? |

| reply to Timmn You can also call these numbers to check some provider(s).
1-700-555-4141 for long distance and international services and 1+your area code+700-4141 for local and local toll services.

I have UV VoIP and when calling the number using our area code the automated voice says "Your intraLATA service is active." Calling the 1-700 number we receive "The call cannot be completed as dialed." Most likely because VoIP is not a traditional long distance or international service (POTS) or ATT blocks 700 numbers. |

Which phone package do you have?? The bill says I have AT&T U-verse Voice Unlimited.
I let some lady at AT&T talk me into this during a moment of weakness, and I'm beginning to regret it already. Thank God I have another POTS line running into the house. |
