| Stop Sell in Guelph? Ok... I'm a little confused here. I referred two different people in Guelph to TekSavvy for home phone services. The interesting thing is that they each called just over a week of each other and are both in the city of Guelph.
The first person (Randy) got hooked up in a jiffy no problem, but what I don't get was the response that my irritable and cranky old (pushing 90) soon to be mother-in-law received. According to what she was told, apparently TekSavvy has recently put a stop-sell on telephone service for Guelph?
If this is true, I sure would like to know why and if there's anything that can be done to get an elderly residential customer on a fixed income a more affordable telephone service, without having to go with a VoIP service. Can anyone at TSI shed some light on as to why Margaret (my soon to be mother-in-law) was told that there was a stop-sell on telephone service in Guelph, no more than 2 weeks after having signed Randy up no problem?
It would be reeeeeeeally nice if an elderly old lady (on a very smal fixed income I may add) who has had it with Bell's constant price gouging (such as frequent price increases) since 1935 could get a more affordable, economical, and all around more wallet-friendly telephone service like it has always been since 1935, without the need to switch to VoIP and have to inevitably end up paying for dryloop DSL. Can this be arranged? Please, please, pretty please? It'll make for a much happier little old lady, which in turn, will mean less b*tching and griping that I have to deal with  |

| There is a stop-sell, but it apparently affects only the porting of certain numbers. If you want to get a brand new phone number, if I understand the situation correctly, you shouldn't have a problem getting a phone line. If you're porting a number on the other hand, that's where you may have a problem. |
