Biker join:2012-11-04 Longueuil, QC | [Voip.ms] Incoming calls dont ring and go directly to voicemail Using SPA-2102 and Montreal2.voip.ms for no apparent reason the incoming caller do not hear any of the 4 rings and end up directly in the voice mailbox. Had a Voip.ms tech on the chat for a while and no conclusion came out of it beside the ticket. I'm in the Montreal area. From the residence we can make calls without problem. But the incoming ones end up in the voice mail. I went all through the setup of the SPA2102 and the one of the Voip.ms and found nothing. Waiting for the tech to come back to me on this. Anyone having a clue on the matter would be much appreciated. |

 | Re: [Voip.ms] Incoming calls dont ring and go directly to voicem Sounds like it could be a NAT issue. Is your SPA-2102 behind a router? Does the same problem occur if you connect it directly to your modem? |

Thanks All |

If you seem to have fixed it that way, it may be a coincidence.
But----good luck/bonne chance. |

| reply to Biker I found from Day 1 that only G.711a codec works with my SPA-3102 and voip.ms. A couple of weeks ago I did get the same problem, i.e. incoming calls go directly to voicemail. I guess this is due to server problem, not codec's.
Everything is fine now.

 | Correction: 729a codec, NOT 711a, works with my SPA-3102 and voip.ms |
