1 edit | [DSL] AT&T DSL to DSL Extreme??? Hi,
I presently have AT&T DSL and my own 2Wire 2701 HG-B Gateway with a Desktop wired to it, a Roku player wired also and a Netbook using Wi-Fi. I need step by step instructions on how to change services. What would be the best day of the week to make the switch with little down time?

kudos:6 | Best way to order service is to request an "ISP switch" when calling our billing/sales department. This should cause the least amount of downtime, hopefully none. Billing can give you details when you call.
After the switch is ordered, we will email you an activation date. Once you get the activation date, you can log in to your account portal at www.dslextreme.com/members and find out what type of connection you have. Once you know that, let us know and we will help you configure your 2wire for our connection type. Generally, you'll want to wait until your old AT&T connection stops working before reconfiguring your modem.
No need to change any settings with your Roku, Netbook or Wi-Fi, they'll work same as before. |
