| Maintenance Email Hi,
I got the e-mail about my service being shut down from 1am-6am Monday - Thursday of next week.
For myself, I will be on March break and I will be staying up later than usual. No internet access have 1am will hinder my activities.
I know its hard to please everyone but this will inconvenience me. If it would get me to 35/3mbps quicker, I wouldn't bother complaining, but even the FAQ is vague and non-descriptive.
quote: Will I now be able to get a faster package? The improvements and investments we are making in our network are making way for many of the new packages and speeds we will be announcing in the very near future.
This is a yes or no question, and you gave a convoluted answer. |

| reply to Poser Got the same email, and was wondering if it was also because they were moving to the "other" network.
I will be asleep during that time because I have to work so it wont bother me anyways |
|
 | reply to Poser Please let there be a good reason for 5 hours of no internet ... :| |
|
 | reply to Poser Perhaps the move to Aggregated?
Can't wait for 150/10 |
|
 | reply to Poser Seems earlier than you would think for the Agg migration given that Marc had said that new territories would be put on Agg first ... but hey ....
35/3 or 45/4 sure looks good to me ..... -- .... and the monkey flips the switch. |

| reply to Poser Ah yeas, this is good, just checked mail and indeed I also have the notice. No speed change or anything but looks like prep work for the Aggregated stuff down the road. w00t! Besides might not impact me as I may be away for that period anyways. -- ----|- From the mind located in the shadows of infinity -|---- Nine.Zero.Burp.Nine.Six Twitter = Twizted Zero Chat = irc.teksavvy.ca |

 | reply to Poser I also got the email. There's no way this isn't for the speed upgrades right? I mean 4 days straight of no internet past 1am is pretty excessive.
Unless I'm misunderstanding it. It's a very vague notice. |

Talk about such a bad week to have this going on. Many people will be home this week due to spring break. Prepare for a lot of phone calls. |
|
 | reply to Poser Ha. I'll be in the states. Perfect time for me to leave.
I doubt it's the speed upgrades.. if something looks too good to be true, it probably is. |
|
 | Irritating. Im a night person and now the service that Im paying for will be shut off for 20 hours total during the week with only a vague non-description of why and barely a few days notice? Are we being compensated for this? Not happy. |
|
 | Maybe I'm wrong, but the email calls them "maintenance windows". Maybe it's just to cover their asses and service could be unreliable at those times, not necessarily always down.
I am also a night person and hope my theory is the right one. |
|
 | reply to Poser That's why I'm worried. I use my PC most late at night, hopefully they mean it'll be spotty or something in certain areas at certain times during those hours and not a full outage. |
