 | [AZ] new speeds not showing...? So I have a tech coming out Wednesday, but I wanted to see if someone might have a clue. I'm in Central Phoenix (7th st & Van Buren. No there are no hookers living here.) I have the ultimate tier - So now I'm getting 50Mb down and 20Mb up. The up, obviously, is awesome, but the down still is at the level from before. Went to a level 2 phone tech and she had no idea so she set me up a guy to come out Wednesday.
Oh - DOCSIS 3.0 Cisco 3000 CModem, took the router out of the equation so it's hooked up straight. No splitters on line. Cat6 cable from modem to computer. NIC card is a GB card... Uhm, not sure what else might be needed
Any thoughts would be awesome! |

| Well if you are indeed using a Cisco DPC3000, that modem is only able to bond up to 4 downstream channel's. As its one of the older D3 modem that are 4x4. The Newer D3 modem's like the Cisco DPC3010 are 8x4, meaning they can bond up to 8 downstream channel's, and 4 upstream channel's. I dunno if you made a mistake, and have an actual Cisco DPC3010, and not the DPC3000. But if you have the 3000 model, you need to upgrade to a 8x4 D3 modem to support the kind of speed's AZ is now offering with there ultimate tier. As 4 downstream can only provide a max of around 152mbps of bandwidth, which is shared with other's in your area, and most likely not gonna be possible to have them 4 channel's clean to provide that speed. |

 | reply to BrienBear Thanks guys - I'd read that support page, but I misunderstood how it worded things (as in, it lists the modems, and then lists what they support below and I was thinking it meant that the DPC3000 and 3010 would support the Premier AND the ultimate. I didn't derp far enough to actually read the rest and go "DERPAHERP".
I've now ordered a DPC3010 and it's on it's way. You guys are seriously awesome!! Have a great week! |

 | reply to BrienBear I just wanted to add that the DPC3000 only has a 100 mbps WAN Port so you would not be able to achieve higher than 80-90 mbps (with overhead.)
I had the same model and upgraded to the SB6141 and an Asus RT-N66U (previously using WRT310N.) |

Pg 14 states a 1000 port |

 | I stand corrected. I referenced that same doc before posting, I overlooked the RJ451000 and focused on the 100BaseT. What a stupid way of wording it. |
