 Wily_OnePremium join:2002-11-24 San Jose, CA | reply to lorennerol How do you get "memory leak" from that story? There was memory corruption, and the cause could very well have been charged particles/cosmic rays. The rover's innards are shielded, but it's still a concern.
For info, cosmic rays can also affect systems here on Earth, and in fact become more prevalent in higher altitudes because our atmosphere provides "shielding". |
