Patch Tuesday for Curiosity?

Probably off-topic, but it's starting to sound like Curiosity has a memory leak and NASA is pushing a patch this week. That'll teach them to hire programmers that Adobe fired

Perhaps they peeked when they should have poked?

How do you get "memory leak" from that story? There was memory corruption, and the cause could very well have been charged particles/cosmic rays. The rover's innards are shielded, but it's still a concern.

For info, cosmic rays can also affect systems here on Earth, and in fact become more prevalent in higher altitudes because our atmosphere provides "shielding".

Maybe they had an open networking interface that the bits were leaking out of.
