Arctic Silver 5, just a little less than a pea drop in the center.

I use Arctic Silver Ceramique because the Silver needs reapplied every couple of years, whereas Ceramique doesn't have a lifetime.

Good point. I find I am, for some reason, taking off my CPU cooler and reseating it, at least once every 12-18 months, so the stuff gets reapplied anyways.

I was able to buy a dozen 6gram shin etsu x23-7921-5 for half off so got plenty of that. They are usually $7 per 3 grams.

I normally envision what a pea size would be and use about 2/3 or 3/5 on smaller CPU die sizes and a full pea size on x79 2011 chips
