1 edit | [Raiding] Throne of Thunder So we downed the first boss and got to the 3rd door and Horidon. I think we will get him next week, you know if we can get the ghost down. We pulled them off the bridge one at a time, anyone have any better ways of pulling that trash? |

|
 | reply to Mordred The whole fight is kind of a cluster. I am just grabbing adds and hoping for the best. I am tanking the first and 3rd door. It is so hard to see the sand traps and orbs in the cluster of adds. Plus you got to love DPS attacking what ever. I miss my OP 3 mob taunt, I think it was Hand of Reckoning. That made add control so easy.
We did not do so well on the double pull, that bridge with adds is going to be annoying by week 4. I wonder if they are going to remove the wind for LFR. |

We got to Horridon last nite and boom - server / instance reset!!! And we had to clear trash again right after we cleared it. FU Blizz!! |

| reply to Mordred Me too I tank doors 1&3. Make sure you get a big attack off on the special mods (sand callers, orb callers, etc) or you might lose threat. I found it was much easier to: berserk+natures vigil when the 3 ads landed and then when that ran out to use incarnation and go nuts with tab berserks. I don't know about you as a pally, so it sounds like wings and anything else you might have, consecration and captain america shield sounds good.
The hardest part of the fight (tanking-wise) was to FOCUS your threat on the special mobs and worry less about the smaller ones, anyways your raid should be running the ads to you anyways.

s1deoutGeek4LifePremium join:2003-12-10 Troy, OH kudos:1 | Pally is pretty much this:
1. Consec when 1st ones come out. 2. HotR on them. 3. Frisbee next add 4. Save taunt for the big adds that need interrupted 5. Hit your Holy Wrath on CD and Consec 6. Judge / Frisbee / CS and run around like a chicken for the rest. 7. Silence with rebuke and frisbee. 8. Listen to the healers curse on vent as you do 50K HPS on the fight. |

 | I am really surprised that glyph of the battle healer hasn't been nerfed yet. My bubble machine is nothing compared to that. -- When the ship lifts, all bills are paid. No regrets. |
|
 | reply to Mordred I thought the glyph with stacking haste was going to get hit by the nerf bat for 5.2. I was happy to see it left alone. |

 | reply to Mordred What is the minimum ilvl you guys would recommend for doing 10 man throne ? |

JBEveryday Normal Guy join:2009-05-14 2 edits | LFR is 480, so I would say at least that. Probably better in the high 480s/low 490s. |
|
 | reply to Mordred You could def do the first 2 bosses in the low 480's. We are in the high 480's to low 490's. We 9 manned(Not on purpose) the first boss and were getting to the 3rd door with some attempts with 3 or 4 people on the 4th. Controlling the adds is all you need for the second boss. I think he enrages at like 15 mins if there is even a enrage timer. |

s1deoutGeek4LifePremium join:2003-12-10 Troy, OH kudos:1 | reply to Mordred We adjusted our Horridon strat to the following:
1. I tank the boss the whole time / the other tank gets adds.
I found that you can pally bubble off the stacks plus we have a pally healer in raid too and they spec into Hand of Purity.
It takes good CD management but if you glyph battle healer and then the extra physical damage on DS - you can do it.
We were hitting the 4th door everytime. Our issue is dps on the adds down. |

| When did that change, Darklogix? said by Blizzard : To get into the LFR difficulty of Throne of Thunder you’ll need an item level of 480. A quick way to find your item level is to search for your character in the upper right search bar of WorldofWarcraft.com. Your item level is a big number in the upper right of your character’s profile. You can also see it in-game by expanding the advanced character stats.
Or are you just referring to the second set of LFR? -- Intelligence is no substitute for Character. |
