| What in the world is Frontier waiting on in Rosedale WV? What in the world is Frontier waiting on in Rosedale WV? They ran Fiber with Fibernet 12 miles down here, below the Rosedale Post Office. They then installed the DSLAM on a nice shiney new platform they made out of Concrete and Yellow Traffic Pillers. The DSLAM is under a tent, half blown over. The Switch and DSLAM are both on the platform. They Made the platform in the Fall of 2012 and installed the DSLAM on Christmas Eve 2012. I seen them at it both times. As I have been monitoring the progress quite closely. But we still do not have service.
I suspect they had a contract to meet with the Stimulus Money that they used to get the equipment paid for with. But there was nothing under the contract that stated it had to be working, just installed.
To date I have called repeatedly as to why its not on and hooked up. And also asked crews as to when its gonna be on.
No Answer yet, and I am getting a little irritated as to not getting answers, so I will post here and maybe someone with more pull then me can answer or at least poke the right goose to get it to jump. |

| To date with the DSLAM installation it makes almost 3 months. And longer if you count them working on it once the fiber was dropped.
I have called and talked to Reps at Frontier. Their automated kick over that tries to sell you the "new" Rebranded Hughesnet (Frontiernet) will not kick my addy over. So the Rep said that was a good sign that it was soon to be hooked up, as it was normal for the system to try to upsell the Hughesnet system to customers without a chance of DSL.
All Reps have promised a call back, NONE have called back with answers. |

gozerPremium join:2010-08-09 Rochester, NY | reply to Tweakbl You should call and ask for a CS manager if the first CS says you cant get it Frontier is slow to update the CS's info that would tell them you can now get service. So many times the only way you can get service rite after the work has been done is to relay what you know to the manager so he is willing to check and have an tech come out and check. |

| Yeah Hank and Gozer, I talked to CS and they did the Addy test and all that. It came back "unknown". Which according to the CS was a indication that work was being done but that the Hughesnet Rebranded Frontiernet was not available due to that work.
The Hardware is all there. Waiting on the hookup and the switch to go Orange.
But no one knows when that will be. |

| reply to Tweakbl I remember waiting a while to get mine hooked up even though they had the stuff installed. They had to get the CO ready with equipment and get it all tied in and so forth which is a different location than where your remote is located. There is a LOT of congestion on the network right now and they are supposed to be upgrading CO's to the new fiber ring. There is no reason for them to delay starting service if everything was ready. I am sure they are still working on it. Best bet I had was to talk to the techs while they visited the DSLAM or if I saw the techs out and about. |

gozerPremium join:2010-08-09 Rochester, NY | I second staregazer's suggestion to get hooked up as soon as possible wait out side the CO and ask one of the tech's. If he can give you an ETA. The tech's work hard and may not have much time to talk you shouldn't take that as rude be nice. I would even have your info written down address and your cell number to make it easy for him. |
