Got 4 for my Windows XP and 5 for my Windows 7.
They are also pushing IE10 in this update for Windows 7. Did not download it yet. Looking for more info (learn about it) about it before I download it. |

Updated 2 Vista, 1 Win7 and 1XPsp3. Also did Microsoft updates on all. Have switched back to Window only. This took a long time for all the updates. Maybe I shouldn't wait so long to do Microsoft updates. |

Thank you. I updated two Windows 7 64bit computers and a Vista sp2. So far, all seems well. I updated Silverlight on two computers but the third computer had version 4, so I just uninstalled it.
I was also offered IE 10 but I hid that update for now.
Sincerely, Libra |

IE 10 on Windows 8 has a new "notice" on the Advanced tab on Internet Options. When I click on the link for more information like almost EVERYTHING with Win 8 there is NO information. I don't know why the notice is there since I AM THE ADMIN. I also see that Microsoft did NOT update Flash...big install like that and no Flash update included. |

Sometimes that alert comes through when other tools are controlling part of IE's settings, it is just telling you someone/something else is affecting it's settings.

Thank you for the explanation. I have never seen it before tonight. I checked all settings in IE Options to make sure the update had not changed anything (IE acted like it was brand new when I started it after the update). None of my settings were changed by the update so I am still puzzled why I would get that notice now...why not when I first got this machine and set up IE? |
|

In particular, any group policy affecting IE will cause these notices in IE. If you don't see any settings grayed out (not changeable) then it doesn't affect you, but if you do see such a setting it will give you a little more detail to help hunt the culprit down.
Even it if is your own local group policy setting, and even if you are a local administrator you may see this warning. |

WinPatrol, MalwareBytes, SUPERAntiSpyware, Spybot S&D ect can cause that notice... to name a few. Anything that's going to lock/modify an IE setting. |
