I find that doubtful with an Actiontec ECB2500. The ECB2500 has a 100Mbps LAN port, so there's no way you would get more than 100Mbps through the unit. Your laptop may have established a connection speed to the AE of 150Mbps, but you weren't getting that speed through the ECB2500.
