 | Airplay Error 15000 for Klipsch G17 I have Ultra and recently bought a Klipsch G17 wireless speaker. Setup fine, speaker shows it connected to the network. I can see it on itunes, but get an error -15000 message when try to play music to it. Don't think it's a Klipsch issue as the speaker works on a wired connection and I can see it on the network. Don't think it's an itunes issue as I also have an airport express to outside speakers and that plays fine. Have seen some suggestions for other routers about adding ports to allow itunes wireless (though not sure that's it since airport express plays...). Any one have any suggestions? Thanks! |

| This doesn't sound like a WOW issue after doing a bit of googling...

Opening ports doesn't apply here as ports are used for communicating with devices on your network, from outside your network. Is your iTunes completely up to date? Are you on a Mac or Windows? Any firewall/ antivirus running? So your speaker is connected to your network via wireless and airplay doesnt work, but when connected with a cable, it works?? |

 | Yes, itunes is up to date. On Windows7. I have a firewall & so does the router, but I have disabled both and I still get the error... Yes, the speaker works - if I plug in a USB or audio in. This Klipsch page suggests ports: »resource.klipsch.com/Education/f···play.htm and this one says turn of IPv6: »discussions.apple.com/thread/310···tstart=0 this one says ports: »discussions.apple.com/message/17···17024533. I've tried them all. Still get error 15000. Argh. |

| Alright I'm assuming disabling windows firewall completely didn't work (if it was even turned on in the first place). Do you have another laptop/desktop/iPhone/iPod touch that you can test to see if it'll play to the speaker to try and narrow this down? The UltraTV gateway shouldn't interfere with airplay at all. |

1 edit | reply to GoVandy I was also having this issue with a bose speaker and the airserver computer program and i think that something in the router is not compatible because airplay worked fine on my linksys router but not from the media gateway despite using most of the same settings. |

AlexE4 join:2006-12-16 Park Ridge, IL | I have an appleTV, airport express connected to speakers, and a bose airplay speaker, all work with airplay from my laptops/iPhones without issue on my network w/ultraTV gateway, so I can confirm at least in my case, it works fine. |
