 | Ultra TV using XBOX to stream netflix constant disconnects I have ultra TV and my son and I have been using the xbox to stream Netflix lately and every time we do the internet just shuts down. I called wow and the lady on the phone says that Netflix is trying to pull to much information and is causing my equipment to restart.
When I can comcast I had zero issues with this.
Anyone else having a similar experience? It seems ridiculous to me that this is happening.
I am using am xbox slim I believe over wifi but I can't remember exactly and I am at work at the moment. |

| The media gateway isn't the most reliable piece of equipment... but I haven't had any issues streaming netflix. I'm not using the wireless feature of it though so that may be the issue for you. Can you check the logs of your gateway by going to »192.168.100.1 and going to the logs tab and post any info around the time that the reset happens while streaming? Also, if you can, give it a try over a wired connection, it's a lot more reliable than using the gateway's wireless. Let me know your results! |

 | This is the only thing I see from yesterday when we had the issue. I forget the other days. (I just included all of march)

I will try a wired connection. I would use a different WiFi router but I liked the N capability of the ARRIS and all my other routers have minor issues. |

| Yep my gateway does the same although mostly randomly... the "Video Processor Reset" causes video and internet to all go out while the gateway reconnects itself... haven't found a solution to that yet. Haven't run into the problem due to heavy usage though. I'd definitely try a wired cable if possible |

 | reply to acpowell Well I was watching half hour shows on netflix with an Ethernet cord and no issues. I did not try Doctor Who which is what we were watching. I suppose trying that will be the best test.
That being said I also find my iPhone 5 is faster on LTE than on wifi which I would think it wouldn't be but I guess in theory LTE is faster. |

| The speeds completely depend on what internet package you're subscribed to, as well as network and signal strength of your iPhone 5. If you're subscribed to the 15 down package, I can say from experience that both my Verizon and ATT iPhones obtain speeds at 15 Mbps or higher (usually, depending on signal strength), so your iPhone would be faster than your internet from WOW. Downside is... caps on wireless plans. You can upgrade to the 50 mbps down package.. which will be faster than your iPhone for sure though! |
