Re: Loose Cabinet Pull Knobs Are you going to answer any of the other questions, tell us you fixed it, replaced it or gave up? Something! |

bbear2Premium join:2003-10-06 94045 kudos:3 | reply to Johkal I'm not going to replace 28 knobs as only 3 or 4 are loose and I could not easily find a match. I've tried regular glue in the past and won't do that again cause it doesn't hold up. I am not that hopeful for the larger screw idea as that seems like it too would be short lived. So what I plan on doing is the epoxy idea or Gorilla glue; whichever I have on hand when I get to it. Thanks for the suggestions. |

I like how OP said "some sort of glue" Raise your hand if you imagined him/her with white paper glue. |

Way back when I took woodworking in high school white glue is what was used for most projects. I still have pieces I made back then and not a joint has failed. |

garys_2kPremium join:2004-05-07 Farmington, MI | reply to robbin White glue is great for wood, not so great for steel screws and holding threaded connections. |

robbinPremium,MVM join:2000-09-21 Leander, TX kudos:1 | I was under the impression that the OP is going to try to glue the pulls onto the cabinet, not try to fix the screw holes with glue. Point being is that white glue has been used for wood for years and I don't think there iis a difference in what is sold for paper and for wood. White glue is white glue. |
