[Cable] ATPIA - Migration Schedule

Hey all,

We appear to have some level of commitment on this time-line. Nothing is set in stone but I'm told that this is fairly reliable.

March 22 - Aggregate POI turn-up with these 13 new areas
Alliston
Barrie_sperling
Barrie_wickies
Bolton
Collingwood
Harris (Brantford)
Keswick
Orangeville
Orillia
Pefferlaw
Pine Ridge(Oshawa)
Stratford
Woodbridge

For existing POIs
March 27 - Guelph
April 10 - McNicoll
April 15 - Markham
April 22 - Brampton
April 29 - Ajax
May 6 - York Mills
May 13 - Newkirk (Richmond Hill)
May 20 - Scarlett
June 3 - Dupont
June 10 - Kitchener
June 17 - Greensboro
June 24 - Bloor
July 3 - London
July 8 - St Laurent
July 15 - Fallowfield
July 22 - Richmond Rd, Ottawa
July 29 - Wolfedale (Mississauga)
Aug 5 - Comstock
Aug 12 - Newmarket
Aug 19 - Woodstock

As each POI above gets migrated, new speeds/plans will become available. Existing 18 and 28 tiers will become grandfathered and will no longer be available.

hehe yeah. I think the logic there was to do a smaller one and make sure it went well.

So much for Ottawa being one of the first to move to Aggregated like you said it would be.

Thats just the way Rogers wants to do things according to their plan. TSI did the best they could considering.

On the bright side, Y'all lookin at ATPIA this summer "33 Aggregate POIs" total all in one place!

Now all I need is access to 8x4 modems preferably SB6141 or SB6180 *neither is yet approved for rogers *sigh*

Thanks for keeping us in the loop Marc. Kitchener is in the middle of the pack so we will see if timelines have stuck tight or slip as the transition progresses. Or I just may have switched to DSL by then anyways...?!?!

I had a feeling Comstock will be one of the last to switch over as it is the newest POI....

Glad to see McNicol is second!

Looks impressive. I hope it all goes well enough, despite the inevitable glitches. It will be really nice to have you "back in the neighbourhood" once it's all over with!

Cheers

Cool, at least it's schedule to roll out..

But I thought the idea was to light up the rest of Rogers footprint first on ATPIA?

Wonder if Rogers will be switching all TPIA providers over for those POIs at the same time... Would make sense as it'd save time..

I'd assume that's what Marc means w/ "March 22 - Aggregate POI turn-up with 13 new areas"

Ottawa.. yeah. We asked them why it got shuffled around because at first we were told that Ottawa was likely to be one of the first.. they were insisting on that... and then now we have this. sorry to have raised false hopes

^ Is this for Downtown Toronto?

Also, is this the "start of upgrading date, where things can happen and could take time to fix" or is this the "On the eve of the day you can use 150/10mb"

Thanks

No, if CIKTel is telling the truth, it will have ATPIA in Mississauga on March 20.

Marc,

How do we migrate to the new speed/plan, is it going to be done through the Direct Support forum?

Also, would the bandwidth counter tools be ready by then?

Thanks

You have to call TSI, be put on hold for hours, talk to an agent to give TSI 5 bucks, wait for up to 24 hours for Rogers to update your profile, then you can enjoy the new speed .
