Re: [Cable] ATPIA - Migration Schedule

THM: Looks like Rogers moved around a bunch of their equipment, cuz your trace is saying you're connecting to the Brantford POI, which just isn't possible considering your location in Toronto.

So, guess theres no way right now to find out what POI you're really on.

I know this question has been answered already but I just asked in the direct forum and was informed that both upload and download count toward the cap. Is this old policy or misinformed support?

»[Cable] Changing badwidth tier

Probably misinformed support, not all their CSR's are on forums eh; eventually mangement will advise those people I imagine there will be new info given out to the call center workers over the next while as things begin shifting over to ATPIA

Nice to see Brampton getting upgraded soon!

It seems Brampton gets the priority since they bought the former Nortel HQ on Bramalea road.

Well that explains it then, Rogers must have Headquarters in...

March 27 - Guelph
April 10 - McNicoll
April 15 - Markham
April 22 - Brampton

Nice to see Brampton is not toooo far off, but I could never in my strangest thoughts have imagined Brampton envy

Here's hoping this cures the nightly crawl

I doubt that this is the case. Rogers does not serve any customers from the old Nortel HQ. The only network connectivity going in there (fiber) is for Roger's internal networks and the test lab in the basement. It's not a Primary / Secondary Hub thus there is no Head End facilities and no customers served.

Wondering if any plans have been released? At least we can know the plans/pricing... I am interested in Ottawa.

I am in Kanata, ON, a suburb of Ottawa, does that mean that on July 22nd the entire Ottawa region will get access to the new plans?

Thanks,

@swissinet.com

When will the download measurement tool be available to Teksavvy customers on Roger's network? And when will Teksavvy be formally enforcing the 300gig limit?

When has anything ever gone on time with Rogers other than billing? This will likely get into August.

So when this happens... will we be able to just request the speed upgrade on the myworld site or do we call in?

I'd say for now, call in or go to the direct forum instead until the website & myworld portals are all updated and in line with the new systems. Otherwise follow the directions from TSI Staff here on the forum.

So let me get this straight in laymen's terms... Basically once the POI I'm on gets upgraded, my package will automatically switch to new plan?

i.e. in my case I'm on 18M/512k now, it will automatically become 25M/2M? And all I need is replace my modem with a DOCSIS 3?

And dumb question, if I don't upgrade my modem, will I still get the faster uplink? Frankly I'm actually OK with my down speed, just the up speed gets me sometimes, kills my VPN connection to work if I have anything else running.
