Re: [Cable] ATPIA - Migration Schedule

said by mikee:

Eww july 8... Thought we we're going to be the first few to turn AGG >_>

Wonder if Rogers will be switching all TPIA providers over for those POIs at the same time... Would make sense as it'd save time..

Cool, at least it's schedule to roll out..

But I thought the idea was to light up the rest of Rogers footprint first on ATPIA?

I'd assume that's what Marc means w/ "March 22 - Aggregate POI turn-up with 13 new areas"

Ottawa.. yeah. We asked them why it got shuffled around because at first we were told that Ottawa was likely to be one of the first.. they were insisting on that... and then now we have this. sorry to have raised false hopes

June 24 - Bloor
^ Is this for Downtown Toronto?

Also, is this the "start of upgrading date, where things can happen and could take time to fix" or is this the "On the eve of the day you can use 150/10mb"

Thanks

No, if CIKTel is telling the truth, it will have ATPIA in Mississauga on March 20.

Marc,

How do we migrate to the new speed/plan, is it going to be done through the Direct Support forum?

Also, would the bandwidth counter tools be ready by then?

You have to call TSI, be put on hold for hours, talk to an agent to give TSI 5 bucks, wait for up to 24 hours for Rogers to update your profile, then you can enjoy the new speed .

Where did you see this? CIK appears to be completely absent from consumer advocate forums, and they don't appear to host their own forum either.. The consumer needs much more information on/from CIK.

All good, nothing new really. We're kinda use to it. Ottawa is usually the last to get anything decent. At least we are not the -very- last this time. :P

Hey all,

We appear to have some level of commitment on this time-line. Nothing is set in stone but I'm told that this is fairly reliable.

I use CIKtel for my phone, and was looking at perhaps switching from TSI to CIKtel for internet when I move. I was told that the cable will be upgraded at the end of the month, to 25 Mbps for $40/mo...so I presumed they were simply sooner than TSI for ATPIA.

Sweet! My Nefarious plan is to stay grandfathered for a month or two to see my usage as measured by Teksavvy, and to see how well I can shift my usage to the free / unlimited period,

Then if I can live within the 300 GB cap, go to 45/4, else 35/3 unlimited.

35/4 and 45/7 should be available as soon as your POI gets migrated. Starting next week it should be available to some Teksavvy customers.

actually. i dont think 35/4 or 45/7 will be available to anybody.. rogers said that it was just a test they ran and they're not offering it anymore...

so it's 35/3 and 45/4...
