Thanks for the update Marc, great news! Glad I was wrong about my previous guess

So much for Ottawa being one of the first to move to Aggregated like you said it would be.

Poor Marc, can't win..

No, if CIKTel is telling the truth, it will have ATPIA in Mississauga on March 20.

Where did you see this? CIK appears to be completely absent from consumer advocate forums, and they don't appear to host their own forum either.. The consumer needs much more information on/from CIK.

All good, nothing new really. We're kinda use to it. Ottawa is usually the last to get anything decent. At least we are not the -very- last this time. :P

Looks like Rogers is basically giving themselves a week per head end to fix the screwups!

Hey all,

We appear to have some level of commitment on this time-line. Nothing is set in stone but I'm told that this is fairly reliable.

March 22 - Aggregate POI turn-up with these 13 new areas
Alliston
Barrie_sperling
Barrie_wickies
Bolton
Collingwood
Harris (Brantford)
Keswick
Orangeville
Orillia
Pefferlaw
Pine Ridge(Oshawa)

there's going to be a flurry of sign-ups. i hope the CSR staff will be able to handle this

I use CIKtel for my phone, and was looking at perhaps switching from TSI to CIKtel for internet when I move. I was told that the cable will be upgraded at the end of the month, to 25 Mbps for $40/mo...so I presumed they were simply sooner than TSI for ATPIA.

Sweet! My Nefarious plan is to stay grandfathered for a month or two to see my usage as measured by Teksavvy, and to see how well I can shift my usage to the free / unlimited period,

Then if I can live within the 300 GB cap, go to 45/4, else 35/3 unlimited.

35/4 and 45/7 should be available as soon as your POI gets migrated. Starting next week it should be available to some Teksavvy customers.

actually. i dont think 35/4 or 45/7 will be available to anybody.. rogers said that it was just a test they ran and they're not offering it anymore...

so it's 35/3 and 45/4...

Ooops.. I read that as 35/3 and 45/4. Too many numbers.. not enough Redbull.

Anyways, I'm pretty stoked about this migration schedule! Thanks Marc

suuuuure a test

Ah well. Now begins the 35/3 or 45/4 dilemma. Who cares about download is my position... The difference there is negligible, but is the price jump worth ONE MORE upload. That's what kills it for me. Not sure how to justify that. If it were 45/7+ it'd be a no brainer for me.

Not to be negative on dates given by Rogers, but no one should take these dates as firm in the least.. Rogers doesn't have a great track record in the past giving dates

To avoid any rush order on things, would there be a way to setup a UPGRADE PRE-ORDER?. It should help stop a rush of orders at the call centre and on here. It also may help so Rogers can process them at one clump instead of one by one. I also wonder if from this point forward any NEW orders get the upgrade automatically, instead of making people pay a month or two down the road.

As each POI above gets migrated, new speeds/plans will become available. Existing 18 and 28 tiers will become grandfathered and will no longer be available.
